Intern Update: Emily Holloway

Today’s Intern Update features Emily Holloway, an intern who worked on Superstition Review’s Pinterest and Tumblr during Issue 17’s run.

With a BA in English, Emily has been working as a copywriter for RevolutionParts Inc. since last year. There, she works with the in-house marketing team to produce content and copy for company’s personal use as needed: case studies, e-Books, blog posts, articles, infographics, etc. in the hopes to generate leads.

Emily has also worked as a Web Content Writer for United Fray, a Phoenix lifestyle blog, and as an editor for Rinky Dink Press, an independent microzine that specializes in publishing collections of micro poetry (45 words or less).

Intern Update: Jessica Fletcher

Today’s Intern Update features Jessica Fletcher, the Student Editor-in-Chief of Issue 17 of Superstition Review.

With BAs in both English and Psychology as well as a minor in Family and Human Development and even an MA in Mental Health Counseling, Jessica has been working as a Clinical Therapist for Bayless Integrated Healthcare since last year. There, she provides mental health counseling for all ages in community and integrated healthcare settings.

Jessica has also worked as an MC intern for the City of Tempe Counseling Services, providing individual and couples counseling for all sorts of people, from children to adolescents to adults.

Intern Update: Shelby Kazen

Today’s Intern Update features Shelby Kazen, an advertiser from Issue 16 of Superstition Review.

With a BA in English, Shelby recently began working as a Video Collaboration Specialist at Logitech, a multi-brand company designing products that bring people together through music, gaming, video and computing. Their mission is to continually enhance how customers connect and interact with the digital world.

Shelby also worked as the Director of Marketing for the Atlas Artist Group, where she collaborated with musicians to develop advertising strategies best suited for their overall goals. These could include driving traffic to streaming platforms or ticketing sites, or increasing views on music videos.

Intern Update: Leslie Standridge

Today’s Intern Update features Leslie Standridge, a Blogger from Issue 16 of Superstition Review.

With a BA in English Literature as well as Film and Media Studies, Leslie began working as a publicist at Lavidge earlier this year. There, she is part of a marketing company that specializes in advertising, public relations, and digital marketing.

Leslie has also worked as a publicist for SparkPoint Studio, where she spearheaded national and local publicity campaigns for authors and
pitched and secured media in national, local, and niche publications.

Intern Update: Leah Newsom

Today’s Intern Update features Leah Newsom, a nonfiction editor from Issue 15 of Superstition Review.

With both a BA and MFA in Creative Writing, Leah has been working as the Senior Outreach Coordinator at the Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies. She remains a fiction writer, content strategist, marketer and copywriter.

Leah also co-founded Spilled Milk Magazine, an online literary magazine that publishes fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and artwork that is served best with a cup of coffee.

Intern Update: Regan Henley

Today’s Intern Update features Regan Henley, an Art Editor from Issue 14 of Superstition Review.

With a BA in Intermedia/Multimedia, Regan has been working as a curator for the Random Access Gallery in Syracuse, New York. There,  she continues to pursue her interest in the creative and interpersonal aspects of technology, and how we can use emerging digital media as emotional and social tools.

Just before her current position, Regan also worked as a graduate teaching assistant at Syracuse University, the art community of which still collaborating with Random Access Gallery today.

Intern Update: Megan Kizer

Today’s Intern Update features Megan Kizer, who worked on Superstition Review’s Twitter and Tumblr accounts for Issue 14.

With a BA in English Literature and Language, Megan began working as a Digital Content Manager for Milestone Retirement Communities just this August and has assisted 80+ retirement communities across the U.S. with digital content marketing initiatives.

She has also worked as a Content Editor for ForwardPMX, a marketing and advertising agency managing a pool of writers for timely deliveries.

Intern Update: Lauren Fosgett

Today’s Intern Update features Lauren Fosgett, an interview editor from Issue 13 of Superstition Review.

With a BS in Graphic Information Technology, Lauren began working as an IT analyst for Grand Canyon Education, Inc. just this year, building her career as an IT professional skilled in both procedures and technological solutions.

She has also worked as an IT Solutions Specialist and a Front Desk Associate for Bryan University and supported multiple departments to improve business practices.

Intern Update: Elizabeth Sheets

Today’s Intern Update features Elizabeth Sheets, a Content Coordinator from Issue 13 of Superstition Review.

With a BA in English Creative Writing, Elizabeth currently works as an editorial assistant for the Journal of Proteome Research, managing manuscripts and communicating with authors and experts alike in the field about reviewing and editorial decisions.

Elizabeth has also worked as an editor for the Black Fox Literary Magazine, reviewing submissions as well as blog posts for clarity and grammar before publication.

Intern Update: Lindsey Bosak

Today’s Intern Update features Lindsey Bosak, a fiction editor from Issue 12 of Superstition Review.

With a BA in English Literature and History as well as an MA in Library and Information Science, Lindsey began working as an Award Manager for Yale University just this September, where she reviews, negotiates, and approves terms and conditions for grants and cooperative agreements.

She has also worked as a Grant and Contract Officer for The Office of Research and Sponsored Projects Administration at ASU, working with a Research Advancement Team to look over financial proposals and submit them to a sponsor.
