Intern Highlight: Zari Panosian

Fiction Editor Zari Panosian is a junior at Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University where she is pursuing concurrent degrees in European History and English (Creative Writing). Her one-act play, Late, was selected as part of the Arizona Women’s Theatre Company’s Pandora Playwriting Festival and the Pandora Showcase in 2010. In addition to her passion for writing, Zari has aspirations to attend law school upon her graduation in 2013. This is her first semester at Superstition Review.

    Zari, I should have known you were influenced by Isaac Babel! Your writing really reflects that, and I definitely mean that as a compliment. From my experience reading your work in class I can say that your writing incorporates history and cultural experience in a similar way, which I very much admire you for. I’m excited to see what submissions you and Tana have picked for our issue!

    I am so excited for this issue. There are so many amazing writers who have submitted their work…it’s been quite the journey, and I hope everyone enjoys our selections.
