Even though I rarely submit my own work I love to hear about local organizations supporting local artists/writers. I’m so glad that Superstition [Review] is there to keep us informed and allow us to find ways to push our boundaries.

It wasn’t until I came to university that I learnt just how many contests and opportunities like this exist to submit writing! Being involved with and informed of English programs certainly helps.

The Tempe Writer’s Forum is a wonderful organization. I was lucky enough to meet the contest founders for a school newspaper article, and they are all very passionate about helping aspiring writers in the community!

I often find myself wondering about contests like these, and I’m glad SR provides posts about it. I honestly would not have heard about this contest if I hadn’t seen this blog post, so from now on I will make sure I check this category consistently for any further local contests. It’s a great way to try and get one’s work out to the public, and maybe even make a bit of money while doing so!
