Jane Smiley’s lecture was a pleasure to attend. She had really interesting views on the novel and how it has progressed over time, changing to adapt to the time it is in. She had a slight kindle mishap but she handled it gracefully and proved what a brilliant woman she is. I enjoyed the Q&A part most though because it seemed the most genuine and non-rehearsed. I would love to attend a lecture of hers again.
